OWYN ASM (Maverick)*

Location: Brooklyn and Queens, NY

The OWYN ASM reports to the Regional Sales Director in their territory and is on a hyper focused sales journey. MAVERICKS are best in class sales reps/merchandisers that have optimized and unique territory route structures that encompass accounts in several channels of trade such as convenience, natural, independent, and others. MAVERICKS are what we like to call the ‘privileged’ sales rep, as they are on a weekly organized and structured route schedule, unlike most of their peers. MAVERICKS create, service, and leverage new and consistent account relationships to maximize sales and market share.

Position Shift and Schedule:

This is a full time Monday through Friday position.

Position Location:

  • Brooklyn and Queens, NY
  • Big Geyser distribution network
  • Position will have a target account territory in a specific region. You will have fellow MAVERICKS that will be working in the closely adjacent boroughs/territories of that region.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and consumer relationships.
  • Enhance the brand positioning and availability of OWYN in the designated territory assigned.
  • Merchandise and execute against a list of stores in your personal route driving brand volume.
  • Educate store management on the differentiation of OWYN and build relationships with local distribution system to create a team-based culture all the way from brand to distributor to store to consumer.
  • Build out pop-up customer demo experiences in key accounts and venues wherever possible.
  • Create full distribution for all OWYN authorized items in key accounts.
  • Unlock new distribution via UNFI/KeHe and any other corresponding route to market.
  • Analyze weekly generated reports to track personal performance and meet territory goals.

Skills:

  • Merchandising experience in either the beverage or food industry.
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in extremely fast paced environments.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
  • Ability to execute against account strategies.
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
  • General proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Brand Ambassador Responsibilities:

  • Sampling and educating OWYN products at retail stores and events
  • Achieving sales goals and targets
  • Completing reports after every shift outlining sales and engagement results
  • Becoming the expert on OWYN products and communicating its benefits to consumers
  • Actively engaging customers with product and nutrition information
  • Managing personal inventory levels and ordering supplies accordingly

Brand Ambassador Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • 1-year experience in a demo, sales, customer service or retail marketing role
  • Flexibility to work weekends and available to demo on a regular basis
  • Computer literate and tech savvy; able to collect data during demo events and input into proprietary platform utilizing your smartphone or tablet
  • Ability to carry and transport equipment for shifts up to 30lbs
  • Knowledge of OWYN products and natural health industry an asset
  • Reliable transportation to and from events is required​

Compensation:

$25/hr.

Area Sales Manager

Location: Boston, MA

Job Description:

The Area Sales Manager will build overall business by managing local sales team, developing relationships with distributors, and acquiring and maintaining new regional accounts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain key existing accounts by developing relationships with key stakeholders to sell in additional SKUs, additional facings, new placements, and other opportunities to grow OWYN volume
  • Acquire new regional retail chains across U.S.
  • Develop relationship with local distributor and their reps
  • Identify and pursue quick wins for retail sales
  • Ensure team is maintaining existing accounts and developing relationships effectively
  • Participate in weekly sales calls to highlight successes, discuss challenges, and understand companywide strategies
  • Track performance of market to develop and execute improvement opportunities
  • Own relationship with key accounts (in the field)

Job Requirements:

  • At least 1-5 years of CPG sales experience (not required but suggested)
  • Great outgoing personality
  • Attention to detail, organization and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment with quotas and goals
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Self-starter but able to take direction as well
  • Passionate about a healthy lifestyle and the food & beverage industry
